Public Consultations Begin on Proposed Electricity Tariff Revision
Public consultation sessions on the proposed electricity tariff revision will begin today (18), according to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has proposed a 6.8% increase in electricity tariffs for the final quarter of 2025. To ensure public participation, the PUCSL has invited citizens to share their opinions on the proposal.
The Commission confirmed that nine consultation sessions will be held across all nine provinces, providing the public an opportunity to submit verbal feedback. In addition, citizens can also provide written comments and suggestions regarding the third electricity tariff revision of 2025.
