Asia Cup 2025 to Be Held in UAE from September 9 to 28

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that the Asia Cup 2025 will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28, in the T20 format.

ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who also leads the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed the development via a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look to a spectacular display of cricket. Detailed schedule will be out soon,” Naqvi wrote.

The tournament will feature eight teams, including traditional powerhouses India and Pakistan. The T20 format aligns with the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

However, the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan clash hangs in uncertainty. Tensions have flared between the two nations since India’s Operation Sindoor, carried out in response to terror attacks in Jammu & Kashmir in May.

India enters the tournament as the defending champion, having defeated Sri Lanka in the 2023 final.

More details, including the match fixtures and venues, are expected in the coming weeks.
