Fatal Crash Near Borella Roundabout

One person was killed and at least five others were injured following a serious road accident near the Borella Cemetery Roundabout earlier this morning, police confirmed.

The incident occurred when a crane truck reportedly experienced brake failure and collided with several vehicles in the area. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as emergency services responded swiftly to the crash.

The injured victims were transported to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not yet been disclosed.

Authorities have launched a full investigation into the cause of the accident.
