CEB Work-to-Rule Trade Union Action Continues Until Midnight

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Technicians’ Union confirmed that its ongoing work-to-rule trade union action will continue until midnight today (24).

Union Chairman Kosala Abeysinghe said that all trade unions affiliated with the CEB are scheduled to meet this afternoon to discuss and decide on the next phase of their trade union activities.

The outcome of this meeting is expected to determine whether the union will escalate its action or call for fresh negotiations with the authorities.
