Three Teenagers Rescued After Being Swept Away at Mount Lavinia Beach
Three teenagers were rescued after being swept away by strong water currents at Mount Lavinia Beach, police confirmed.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (17), when the teenagers, all 16 years old and residents of Wellampitiya, Katukurunda, and Hokandara, went sea bathing.
Officers from the Police Lifeguard Unit quickly intervened, rescuing the teenagers from the strong currents and administering initial first aid at the scene.
Authorities reminded the public to exercise caution while swimming, especially during strong currents and rough sea conditions.
