‘Ishara Sewwandi’, the fugitive female suspect wanted in connection with the murder of underworld figure Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, alias ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa,’ has been arrested in Nepal.
According to reports, four other suspects were also taken into custody during a joint operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Sri Lanka and the Nepal Police.

The shooting occurred on February 19 at the Hulftsdorp Magistrate’s Court No. 05, where Ganemulla Sanjeewa was gunned down.
The 25-year-old suspect, identified as Pingpura Dewage Ishara Sewwandi, is believed to have aided the gunman responsible for the attack.
She had been in hiding since the day of the murder, and authorities had struggled to trace her location until the recent joint investigation led to her capture.
