President to Meet Bar Association Over Proposed Extension of Judges’ Retirement Age
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to meet representatives of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) tomorrow to discuss the government’s proposal to extend the retirement age of judges.

According to the President’s Media Division, the meeting will take place at 1.00 p.m. following an invitation extended by President Dissanayake.
The proposed extension of the retirement age of judges is expected to be the main focus of the discussion.
The meeting comes amid ongoing attention on proposed changes affecting the judiciary and the administration of justice in Sri Lanka.
