Gunfire Reported in Nadun Uyana, Muthuhenawatte

Two masked individuals created panic in the Nadun Uyana area of Muthuhenawatte last night (13) after firing a shot into the air before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. in front of a house in the neighborhood.

According to police, the suspects arrived on a motorcycle and fired a single round from a 9mm pistol. Both the bullet and its casing were later recovered from the location.

Following the shooting, the suspects escaped towards Muthuhenawaththa Road. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Meegoda Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the two individuals involved. Authorities are also looking into the motive behind the gunfire.
