Shooting in Thunnana Leaves 55-Year-Old Man Injured

A shooting incident in the Thunnana area of the Hanwella police division injured a 55-year-old man last night (13), police confirmed.

According to reports, two unidentified suspects arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the victim while he was inside his residence. The attackers quickly fled the scene after the incident.

The victim sustained injuries to his leg and was rushed to the Avissawella District General Hospital for treatment.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack, and the identities of the suspects remain unknown. Several police teams, including officers from the Hanwella Police, are actively conducting investigations.
