Two Dead, Three School Students Injured in Nallathanniya Three-Wheeler Accident

Two people have died and three school students have been injured after a three-wheeler overturned near the Mohini Ella Ravine in Nallathanniya.

Police identified the deceased as two residents of the Nallathanniya area, aged 46 and 26 years.

Victims Succumb to Injuries

According to Police, the two individuals sustained serious injuries in the accident and later died while receiving treatment at the Maskeliya Divisional Hospital.

The accident occurred this morning while the three-wheeler was transporting three school students to school.

Three Students Injured

The injured students, aged between 12 and 15 years, were initially admitted for medical treatment before being transferred to the District Base Hospital in Dickoya, Hatton.

The transfer was carried out using an ambulance from the Agarapatana Divisional Hospital.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are currently underway.
