Gampaha District Faces 10-Hour Water Cut Today
The National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 10-hour water cut in the Gampaha District today (14). The water supply will be suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., affecting multiple areas.

According to the NWSDB, the following locations will experience the water disruption: Nittambuwa, Kandahena, Mapagolla, Kongasdeniya, Pinnagollawatta, Kolawatta, Gorakadeniya, Ranpokunagama, Ranpokunagama Housing Scheme, Urapola, Dikkanda, Meevitigammana, Maimbula, Mathalana, Haggalla, Alawala, Kalalpitiya, and Ellamulla.
The board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and urged residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions, such as storing adequate water in advance. The NWSDB also reminded the public that temporary interruptions in the water supply are sometimes necessary for essential maintenance and operational work.
Residents are advised to use water sparingly during this period and to expect normal water supply to resume after the announced cut-off time.
